A transport will be
awaiting your arrival at the Santiago airport to bring you to your hotel (NH)
in the center of the city. You'll have the day free to rest & relax or
visit some of the city's museums. In the evening, you will have the opportunity to experience the vibrant cuisine and nightlife of Providencia, one of Santiago's premier districts, conveniently located five minutes from the city centre. |

Morning free to visit on your own. After lunch you'll set off with your private guide to the pictuesque Maipo Canyon, south west of the city. Massive 5600 meter (17,000 ft) peaks loom above the valley with the rushing Maipo River cutting its way through the bottom. Your drive will make it as far as the town of San Jose de Maipo, nestled deep in the canyon. You'll return to the hotel where your luggage is stored with time to walk over to the bustling and funky district of Bellavista to have an early dinner. There will be a private transport waiting at the Hotel NH to take you to the bus terminal for the overnight ride to Pucon in a comfortable sleeper bus (Salon Cama). |

3 Arrival to Pucon
Morning arrival to the town of Pucon, a picturesque lake-side town nestled in among the Andes of the Northern Lake District. Because of this prime location, it is considered to be the center of outdoor activities and adventure tourism in the whole of Chile. You will be met at the bus station and shown to the Language Pucon center.There you will be received and given a brief orientation to Pucon and the surroundings, meet your family host family for the next week, and get settled into your new home. The rest of the day can be spent exploring Pucon as you wish. Lunch and dinner with your host family. |

In the Classes in the morning, choice of afternoon excursion either rafting the Trancura river or an evening trip to the beautiful natural hot springs "Los Pozones," situated in a picturesque valley next to Huerquehue National Park. There are seven different natural stone pools, each with a different water temperature and an amazing view. If the water gets too hot you can cool down in the Liucura River, which flows next to the pools. (BLD |

Classes continue, afternoon to explore eclectic Pucon on your own. The area caters to any interest - whether you want to relax on the shore of the lake and read a book, go mountain biking, kayaking, rafting, sky-diving, shopping in the open-air market, or converse with locals over a tasty beverage at any of the fantastic cafe's, Pucon has it all! Today (weather permitting), you will ascend the active volcano Villarica which stands over Pucon. You will be provided the appropriate equipment and instructed in its use, then led by an expert mountain guide to the summit 2840mts up(over 9,000ft). There you will be allowed to rest and enjoy the stunning views of the Andes, Pucon, and the Lake District surrounding you. (BLD) |

Classes in the morning and afternoon to wrap up your studies. Afterwards, you will have some time to say goodbye to Pucon and all of the people you have met. In the evening you will make your way back to the bus terminal for your overnight trip back to Santiago in a comfortable sleeper bus. (BL) |

Morning arrival in Santiago, where you will take a taxi ride to the Hotel NH in Providencia. The day is free to practice and test your new Spanish skills in the metropolitan setting of Santiago. Some recommendations would be to visit the home of Pablo Nerudo in Bellavista or enjoy the modern landscaping along the Maipo river. |
