NOT INCLUDED: Transport to Campoaventura (although assistance with bus or private taxi are available), beverages & tips

DEGREE OF DIFFICULTY AND PHYSICAL CONDITIONING: Low.  This trip allows you to choose how much riding you wish to do or if you want to forgo the horses and simply hike around the lovely Cochamó Valley.  The normal trip includes 5 hours of riding on Day 2
 

TArrive at our Riverside Lodge by 9.30 am, where your horse and guide will be awaiting you. Get equipped, and receive a short introduction to riding Chilean-style, with comfortable saddles and mild-mannered steeds.
Ride to the north bank of the Rio Cochamó, and follow the old horse trail that takes you into the lower reaches of the rare and unique temperate rainforest. Be amazed at the silence and lushness of this unspoiled environment!
Enjoy a mid-day picnic along the banks of the Rio Piedra (River of Stones), in the company of soaring falcons and tumbling waterfalls.
Return to the Riverside Lodge in time for afternoon tea, with home-made cake or tart, before departure.
