The Adventure Trail: Cochama

Day by day itinerary: 2 d/ 1 n
 

INCLUDES: 1 night at Riverside Loge, meals (1 dinner, 1, breakfast, 1 lunches, 1 afternoon snack), experienced guides in English, German, Spanish or French, rain gear, safety helmet,

NOT INCLUDED: Transport to Campoaventura (although assistance with bus or private taxi are available), beverages & tips

DEGREE OF DIFFICULTY AND PHYSICAL CONDITIONING: Low.  This trip allows you to choose how much riding you wish to do or if you want to forgo the horses and simply hike around the lovely Cochamó Valley.  The normal trip includes 5 hours of riding on Day 2
 

Traveling in the afternoon from Puerto Montt, Puerto Varas or Petrohué via Ensenada through amazing lakefront and forest scenery to the Riverside Lodge outside Cochamó.  (The CampoAventura office in Puerto Varas can assist you with buses.)  There will be time in the afternoon for a nature walk.  Dinner by candlelight and overnight in the double cabins.
 

DAY 2      The Cochamó Valley

     Breakfast at 09:00 of fresh breads and jams made on the premises.  Then you'll get to know your horse and have a little riding school.  We'll depart and ride up the valley along the Cochamó River.  Picnic nestled in the Validivan rainforest as a break on the 5 - 6 hour ride into the Andes.  We'll return to the Riverside Loge with time for a cup of tea/coffee with homemade baked goods before leaving the lodge by bus or private transfer to Puerto Varas/Puerto Montt
