NOT INCLUDED: Transport to Campoaventura (although assistance with bus or private taxi are available), beverages & tips

DEGREE OF DIFFICULTY AND PHYSICAL CONDITIONING: Medium.  Although this trip is for non-experienced riders as well, it will obviously be a bit more challenging for those new to the saddle.  You have to be able to handle 5-6 hours in the saddle. 
 

DAY 1      Lake District to Riverside Lodge

Arrive at Campo Aventura’s Riverside Lodge on the banks of the Rio Cochamó. Take a relaxing stroll, meet our guides, and enjoy a three-course dinner. Overnight in cabaña.

DAY 2        Up The Cochamó Valley

     After a hearty breakfast, we load our gear on the horses and set off through the fields and rainforest. A quick stop for a picnic lunch, and we continue on to the La Junta valley. Tea and fresh cake await on the terrace of our Mountain Lodge. Enjoy a traditional dinner; overnight at lodge.

DAY 3      Immersed in Nature

 Spend the day hiking our Nature Trail, or the more challenging Arco Iris. Swish down a natural waterslide and swim in rock pools. Or, relaxand catch up on some reading. Overnight at lodge

Day 4-     Down The Valley

    Breakfast on the balcony and then we saddle up to begin our descent through the rainforest. Midday picnic in a spot of special quiet and beauty.  We'll arrive at the Riverside Lodge after 5 hours of riding with time to take a shower, have some tea/coffee with homemade cake before leaving to Puerto Varas/ Puerto Montt.
